Description : This e-learning course will help governments in making informed decisions on the design and development of their social protection systems. The platform will strengthen the capacity of key actors and stakeholders involved in the policy, governance, quantitative analysis and implementation of social protection extension strategies. This part-time e-learning course is designed for 30 training hours over a three-month period (around two hours 30 minutes per week). A designated tutor will help participants to form learning communities, engage with the course materials and apply knowledge from the online training modules to their workplace.

Target group : The course is designed for policy planners, advisers and technical staff working in relevant governmental structures and social security institutions as well as representatives of workers' or employers' organizations involved in the development and implementation of social protection programmes.

Description : The general objective of the course is to facilitate the knowledge and skills required for dealing effectively with safety and health management in enterprises. OSH professionals need a multidisciplinary background to successfully operate in the broad field of OSH, therefore the programme incorporates training sessions on all the topics and disciplines relevant to OSH. The training focuses not only on OSH issues but also on the development of organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills. Study visits to 15 different productive settings are planned in order to offer direct interaction with experts in the field.

Target group : The course has been specifically designed for hygienists, physicians, chemists, engineers, inspectors, practitioners and civil servants with a university degree but without previous specialization in OSH, who are working, or wish to work, as OSH specialists.

Description : The Academy on Social Security offers a unique opportunity to benefit from a diversified training package on governance and financing, reforms and extension of social protection systems. Description : The general objective of the course is to strengthen the capacity of employment injury institutions to improve the coverage and management of occupational accidents and diseases and to promote the prevention of occupational safety and health incidents. Through this course, the ILO intends to disseminate its international experience and facilitate knowledge-sharing and discussion of selected innovative and successful strategies to promote preventive and proactive OSH approaches in terms of employment injury schemes.
